A staple of Smithtown, and a destination for Long Islanders searching for the finest Italian cuisine, La Famiglia Italian Restaurant completed renovations and opened its doors in early 2018. Once a diner, the original building was constructed in the 1950’s atop the hill at 250 West Main Street, and has been under the ownership of John Cracchiolo for over 15 years.
Accompanied by his two brothers, Sal and Rosario, John has a passion for food and family. His vision for the restaurant became reality after the 14-month renovation and expansion, in which a majority of the restaurant was demolished.
The Architecture pays homage to traditional Italian design, with exterior limestone and an earthy palette, and warm interior tones. The outdoor patio and large folding doors lend a seamless transition between the dining room and the open air.
The new restaurant offers an expanded bar and dining area, which can be reserved for private parties and events.
