Building for a Cause: JM2 Architecture Joins Canstruction LI 2025

At JM2 Architecture D.P.C., we believe great design can make a lasting impact — not only in the spaces we create, but also in the community we serve. That’s why we’re proud to once again participate in Canstruction Long Island, an annual design competition and food drive where architecture, engineering, and construction firms team up to fight hunger.

A Winning Tradition

Last year, JM2 Architecture D.P.C. was honored to take home Best Design. That recognition was a reflection of our team’s creativity, collaboration, and commitment to giving back.

This year, we’re excited to return with a brand-new design and the same passion for building something that makes a difference.

Turning Cans Into Community Impact

Each year, teams across Long Island transform thousands of cans of food into massive, creative structures that are displayed for the public. After the competition, every can is donated to local food banks — turning innovative design into meals for families in need.

This year’s build will take place on October 22 at RXR Plaza, with judging scheduled for October 27 and public viewing from October 28 – November 11. During this time, visitors will be able to tour the displays and cast votes for the People’s Choice Award.

How You Can Help

From September 1 through October 17, JM2 Architecture D.P.C. will be actively fundraising to cover the thousands of cans required to bring our structure to life.

We’re looking for sponsors and donors to help us make the biggest impact possible. Every contribution — big or small — helps us fight hunger right here on Long Island.
